February 9 — QOV Sew Night
This will be a Quilts of Valor sew night.
March 9 — Ann Moore's "My Quilting Journey Trunk Show"
Ann lives outside of Houston in the community of Huntsville, Texas. She is a national quilting instructor and designer for Sew Steady/Westalee, which she started after quilting. Before that, she spent years making her own clothes.
Workshop next day: Bindings — Functional to Fantastic, 9 am–4 pm. Cost: $40.
April 13 — Winnie Fleming "Borders Bonanza"
Winnie brings over 40 years of quilting passion and 35 years of teaching expertise to our community. Known for her ability to simplify complex piecing techniques, she specializes in scrap quilts and her signature pieced borders.
Workshop next day: Borders, 9 am–4 pm. Cost: $40.
Monday, May 11, 2026 — Regular Monthly Meeting
What: Social @ 6:30 pm & meeting at 7:00 pm.
Focus: This will be a 1-hour sewing fest to sew items to sell at our August Quilt Show Boutique.
Bring: Simply bring your favorite sewing machine, cords, foot pedal, etc., & we'll supply the projects to be sewn!

Tuesday, May 12, 2026 — Workshop
Join us to make a fun project! This clever boxy tote would be great to donate to our "Quilt Show Boutique," give as a gift, or keep for travel or storage. All it takes is 2 fat quarters & a zipper (plus batting & interfacing). Our own Doreen will guide us through a morning of sewing. Sign up soon to receive the detailed supply list & complete the prep-work for this class.

Tuesday, June 9, 2026 — Shaula Patton Workshop "Strips and Strings"
Shaula will help you use up some of those small scraps and strips all quilters have in their stash by showing us different ways that string piecing can become an interesting and beautiful quilt. Whether you are new to the technique or already love scrappy quilts, you will leave the class anxious to use your remnants and the knowledge you have gained from this inspiring and useful class to create a new, fun masterpiece.

Bring: Four 6"×6" squares muslin and a minimum of four 5"×8" rectangles muslin; Strips and Strings of fabrics between 1" and 2½" wide; Rotary cutter/mat; Sewing machine; Personal iron/ironing station

July 13 — Becky Holley "Miniature Quilts"
Becky Holley is a quilter and teacher from Midland. Her presentation on miniature quilts was fabulous.
Workshop next day: Making Rope Baskets, 9 am–4 pm. Cost: $40.
August 10 — Texas Quilt Museum "Preserving Your Legacy"
Have fun learning techniques & methods of preservation and repair of antique quilts. This informative, structured, Q & A led talk, includes a wealth of knowledge & materials. Send your specific questions to Cindy S. soon, so the museum can research them ahead of time.
September 14 — Lecture: Leo Ransom "Journey of an Art Quilter"
Leo is an award-winning, Texas art quilter who is known for his striking fabric portraits. His mastery of textile art, blending color, texture, & composition create visually captivating pieces. He has a quilt that is now a part of the International Quilt Museum's permanent collection in Lincoln, NE. His dynamic work often portrays people & faces with a unique artistic perspective, using silhouette art, fabric layering, & collage.

Workshop — Leo Ransom — "Two-Fabric, Portrait Art-Silhouette"
Leo will guide us through making our own art, using his patterns & techniques.
October 12 — Annick Harris "Animals, Animals, Animals Everywhere"
Our own Annick will share her extensive collection of wild & tame quilted animals with us. Using both original & commercial designs, she combined various mediums, & used multiple techniques to complete these beautiful pieces.
No Workshop.
November 9 — Sew Donation Quilts
December 14 — Holiday Party
